However, when a person or a company is as exceptional as our broker, Christy Pennick, has been in helping us sell and purchase our new home, I have to make exceptions. Christy’s true genius surfaced with the sale of our home. She toured our house, ensuring only to offer fixes that would net us a two-to-one return on investment. She was able to recommend high-quality and affordable contractors. She booked a fabulous staging company. And within a few days, she had a detailed calendar outlining every person, task and deadline for what needed to be accomplished for a quick preparation of our home to put it on the market. Needless to say, everything went off without a hitch; Christy made sure of it. She was at the helm of the whole operation, working tirelessly, communicating wonderfully, all the while offering encouragement and support. When our home went on the market, she had five showings booked. We ended that day with an all-cash offer above asking price, which, given the recent shifting of the market, was remarkable.
